Without an account

You can use Rink Buddy without giving us anything. The site may remember small preferences, like the last tab you opened, in your own browser; that is never sent to us. The iPhone app keeps your favorite players on your device.

With a free or Pro account

• What we store: your email address, the players you follow, whether gear alerts are on, when you signed up and last signed in, your Pro plan and status, and any member deal code you claimed.
• Why: to sign you in, send the gear alerts you asked for, run your Pro membership and show your member deals. We don't use it for anything else.
• Sign-in cookie: one essential cookie keeps you signed in for up to 30 days. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
• Emails: sign-in links, gear alerts and messages about your membership. Every alert has a one-click unsubscribe link.

Visit counts

We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count visits, pages viewed and the sites that referred them. It sets no cookies and does not track you across other sites.

Payments

Pro payments are handled by Stripe, which receives your card details directly; we never see or store your full card number. We keep a Stripe customer reference and your subscription status. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the data it processes.

Who else handles data

Our hosting and email run on Amazon Web Services, and payments on Stripe. We don't sell, rent or share your personal data with advertisers. Links to stores take you to their sites, where their privacy policies apply.

Children

Accounts are for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children under 13; if you think a child has created an account, email us and we'll delete it.

Your choices

You can turn off alerts from any alert email, cancel Pro any time, and ask us to see, correct or delete your data by emailing team@rinkbuddy.com. We keep account data while your account is active and delete it on request, except billing records we must keep by law.
