The Archive
The Rink Buddy Archive records the sticks, skates, gloves, helmets and goalie gear of 8,819 NHL players across 109 seasons, from 1917 to today. Every item links to the page it came from, so you can check it yourself.
How we source gear facts
- Today's setups come from public gear-tracking records of current NHL players, refreshed daily.
- History comes from game-used auction records, pro-stock listings and other public sources that name the player and the item.
- Rules we follow: no record without a source link; names are normalized to the brand's own spelling; when a source is unclear we leave the field empty rather than guess. Pros often use pro-stock versions of retail gear, and we say so.

The Gear Finder
The Rink Buddy Gear Finder compares hockey gear across independent hockey shops in the US and Canada by size, color and price, and shows you the closest retail match to a pro's setup. Some store links are affiliate links: we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you, and it never changes which products we show or their order.
