Pick the width too: Fit 1 is narrow, Fit 2 medium and Fit 3 wide1. An old Vapor D usually converts to Fit 1, an old Supreme D to Fit 2, and EE to Fit 32.

Old D and EE widths to Fit 1, 2 and 3
Bauer moved its player skates to Fit 1, 2 and 3 in 2020, and current Vapor and Supreme skates come in all three fits.2 Old D widths were not the same across lines: a Vapor D was the narrow, low-volume boot and a Supreme D was roomier. That is why a Vapor D usually converts to Fit 1 and a Supreme D to Fit 2.2
| New fit | Bauer describes it as | Old width on Bauer's guide | From an older Bauer skate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fit 1 | Narrow width, low volume | D (Bauer labels it narrow) | Closest to the old Vapor D1,2 |
| Fit 2 | Medium width, medium volume | R (Bauer labels it medium) | Very close to the old Supreme D1,2 |
| Fit 3 | Wide width, high volume | EE (Bauer labels it wide) | The wide fit across lines1,2 |
If your old skates fit well, start with the same skate size in the fit your old width converts to. If they pinched or felt sloppy, go by your foot instead: see how skates should fit and skates for wide feet.
