Privacy Policy

Rink Buddy Gear Finder is run by Hue Art LLC, a Nevada company ("we", "us"). Our site is at rinkbuddy.com.
Effective date: October 8, 2026

This page explains what information we collect when you use Rink Buddy Gear Finder, what we do with it, and what choices you have. Short version: we don't have accounts, we don't sell your data, and we use analytics that don't track you across websites.

1. What Rink Buddy Gear Finder is

Rink Buddy Gear Finder is a hockey gear comparison tool. You pick player or goalie and a size level, tap a body zone, and see products from several retailers with price, size, color and stock. When you click a product, you go to the retailer's website to buy. We don't sell gear, take payment, or ship anything.

2. Information we collect

What you do on the site. The choices you make (player or goalie, size level, zone, filters, products you click) are used to show you results. In version 1 we don't store them against your name or any account.

Anonymous usage statistics. We use Ahrefs Web Analytics to count visits, pages viewed and where visitors came from. It doesn't use cookies or local storage, doesn't build a profile of you, and doesn't follow you across other sites. It sees the page address, the referring site, your browser and device type, and an approximate location (country). We don't run advertising pixels or session recording.

Outbound clicks. Product links pass through a short redirect on our own service, which checks that the product is still in stock at the store and, if it sold out or was removed, brings you back to the Finder with the stores that still have it. It records only the store, whether the product was found, and the time. It doesn't record your IP address, name or email, and we keep these records for up to 13 months.

Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps routine logs (IP address, browser, pages requested, time) for security and troubleshooting. We keep them for no longer than 30 days.

When you email us. If you write to hello@rinkbuddy.com, we keep your message and email address to reply to you.

What we do not collect. No accounts, passwords, payment cards, precise location, or government IDs. We don't ask for your age or your children's information.

3. How we use information

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for ads that follow you around the web. We don't use it to make decisions that have legal effect on you.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

On Rink Buddy Gear Finder itself: we set no advertising cookies and no analytics cookies. We may store a small item in your browser (for example, your last player/goalie choice) so the site remembers it on your device. It never leaves your browser.

After you click out to a retailer. This part is outside our control. When you click a product link, you leave Rink Buddy Gear Finder. The retailer, and often the affiliate network that runs its program, may set cookies or use similar tracking on their own sites to record that you came from us. This is how we get credited if you buy. These cookies are set by those companies, not by us, and are covered by their privacy policies and cookie settings, not this one. They typically last from about a day to several weeks, depending on the program. Networks and retailers we use or plan to use include:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you do, a purchase may not be credited to us. It won't change your price.

Some affiliate networks may also detect the link you clicked through a short redirect before landing on the retailer. That redirect carries the link's tracking tag, not information about you from us.

5. Who we share information with

We share information only with:

We do not sell personal information. We do not "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as California law uses those terms.

6. Children's privacy

Rink Buddy Gear Finder shows youth and junior sizes, but it is meant for adults, mainly parents, and for adult players. It is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. We don't ask for ages, and there are no accounts.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information (for example by email), contact us at hello@rinkbuddy.com and we will delete it. If we learn we have collected such information, we will delete it promptly.

7. Your privacy choices and rights

Everyone. You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop using it, by emailing hello@rinkbuddy.com. Because we hold almost nothing that identifies you, there may be little to find. We'll answer within 45 days and will not charge for a reasonable request. We won't treat you worse for asking.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. We don't track you across websites, so there is nothing for these signals to switch off here. We treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing of your personal information, even though we don't do either.

California. The California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA, as amended by the CPRA) gives California residents rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, and to not be discriminated against for using these rights. Our current understanding is that Hue Art LLC is below the CCPA's thresholds for a covered "business" (annual gross revenue over $26,625,000, buying/selling/sharing the data of 100,000 or more California consumers or households a year, or getting 50% or more of revenue from selling or sharing personal information), but we choose to honor these rights for California residents anyway. In the last 12 months we have not sold or shared personal information, and we collect only the categories in section 2 (identifiers such as IP address and device data, internet activity such as pages viewed and links clicked, and, if you email us, your contact details and message).

Other states. Many other states (for example Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas and others) have privacy laws with similar rights. We extend the same choices described here to all U.S. residents, whatever their state.

How to ask. Email hello@rinkbuddy.com with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to confirm the request comes from you, for example by replying from the same email address you used with us. You can use an authorized agent; we'll ask for proof they can act for you. If we deny a request you can appeal by replying with the subject "Appeal", and if you're still not satisfied you can contact your state attorney general.

8. Security and retention

We use reasonable technical steps (encrypted connections, limited access) to protect information. No system is perfectly secure. We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes in this policy, then delete or anonymize it. Typical periods are listed in section 2.

9. Links to other sites

Retailer and brand sites are not ours. Their privacy practices are their own, so read their policies before you buy.

10. Where we operate

Rink Buddy Gear Finder is meant for people in the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information is handled in the United States.

11. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here and update the effective date. If the change is significant (for example, we start collecting accounts or emails), we'll make it clear on the site.
